If you are a fan of Kenny Sholes' virtual presentations about the historic properties in the Agricultural (Ag) Reserve, watch for his presentations this year. Kenny will be discussing the unique history of the Ag Reserve and its beautiful homes and properties four times in 2026: 3/19, 6/18, 9/17, and 12/17.

Kenny was the very first Poolesville Seniors virtual presenter in the days of Covid in 2020. He presented monthly for almost 5 years fascinating us with stories of those lands around us that have played an important part in American history over the last few centuries. The fields we pass through each day have spurred economic development, been the scene of battles, provided escape from the pace of daily life, and brought families together at the dinner table. Dotting this landscape is an array of impressive historic homes – standing as visual reminders of those who came before us.

The history of these homes helps us to better understand the people whose land we have inherited and how their dreams, goals, and struggles were not all that different from ours today.
