This February will be the second year that Poolesville Seniors will participate in the MoCo Senior Cardboard Regatta. We will be building a boat of cardboard, duct tape and plastic trash bags that will be rowed two lengths of the pool.
Soon the holidays will afford prime box and cardboard collection time. The ideal building material for us is 3-ply+ cardboard in long flat pieces or a 3-ply+ box with a top measuring 20-25 inches wide, 3 – 5 feet long, and at least 12” high. Appliance boxes, bicycle boxes., or dog crate boxes
We also need quite a lot of duct tape and heavy commercial grade refuse bags. If you have any to spare, we can put it to good use.
We will have a boat building location available sometime in January to receive your contributions, if you can manage to keep them for us until then.
Watch for further information about this Poolesville Seniors project.
