Join local Poolesville resident and architect, Brian Peper, in person in the Poolesville Presbyterian Church Sanctuary on May 21st at 7:00 p.m. In honor of Memorial Day, Brian, one of the architects of the National World War II memorial in Washington DC, will discuss the development, design, and construction of the memorial. Get the inside story and discover why some of the decisions behind the placement, scale and construction of the memorial were made.
The National World War II memorial legislation began in 1987 and the memorial opened to the public in 2004.

Brian Peper was the Administrative Architect working for the General Services Administration on the WWII Memorial. He has worked on several governmental historic properties, as well as the development of the Food and Drug Administration’s 130-acre campus for 10,000 staff.
