Join Brad Stone on April 11th at 7:00 p.m. when he discusses the unique medical challenges faced by the Union Navy during the Civil War, as well as some of the advantages it had over the Union Army in terms of maintaining the health and welfare of its men. The talk will highlight the many steps the Navy traditionally took to maintain a healthy environment aboard its ships, and the bold initiatives it launched to dramatically expand its medical capacity during the Civil War.
