DESCRIPTION:In line with our theme to Stay Active\, Poolesville Seniors offers Tai Chi every Tuesday at 10:30am with our instructor\, Maureen Ivusic! \nThis is a hybrid event to be held at Poolesville Memorial United Methodist Church 17821 Elgin Rd\, Poolesville. This class will be live streamed using Zoom technology so you can join in the activity from the comfort of your own home if you can’t join us in-person. Please register for the class whether you choose to attend in-person or online. \nMaureen is temporarily adding a chair Tai Chi component to the class for those who might need a chair to steady themselves or for seated Tai Chi. Come out to see if these accommodations suit you. \nClass will be online only if MCPS -Montgomery County Public Schools cancel school – CODE RED.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a free guided tour of the King Barn Dairy MOOseum on June 5th in time for our 10 a.m. entry. Learn more about the rich dairy history of Montgomery County by visiting the MOOseum\, housed in a 1930 long barn in South Germantown Recreational Park.  We will tour the barn; explore the different methods used in milking cows; "milk" a faux cow; churn butter; make a cow-themed craft; learn about the history of the MOOseum's farm family; learn about the transportation of milk and view a video on dairy farming today.  The museum will only be open to our Poolesville Seniors group on this visit\, so this is your chance to learn about local dairy farming at the MOOseum in a small group setting. The tour will take about 2 hours.   \nRegistration is necessary and space is limited. Join us at the Red Door Escape Room on Friday June 7th at 6:00 p.m. Solve the mystery to make your escape in about 60 minutes.   Red Door Escape rooms offer many different scenarios or ‘episodes’.  Read the descriptions below and choose the one in which you’d like to participate.  After you register and pay for your ticket\, you will be sent a confirmation email that will have the number of spots available for that episode.  You will need to reply to that email to state in which episode you want to participate.  If you do not reply\, you will be placed in an episode that has spots.  If you are signing up a group and would like to know how many spots are available for a particular episode\, email info@ poolesvilleseniors.org.
